Another year has passed since my last tutorial. I didn't intend for my hiatus to last this long, but quite frankly, my life has been upended quite a bit in 2019 with a bunch of family and personal issues, so I'm very glad to have finally finished my latest tutorial, which covers a subject that hopefully will be useful to some desperate tools programmers out there: how to work with the C++ SDK in Photoshop.
It actually strikes me as quite amazing that Photoshop itself is rather prevalent in the VFX/games industry, and yet, the tooling surrounding it is generally horrific and/or non-existant. Hopefully this article will go some way towards changing that.
Happy reading, or perusing if you're curious as to what working with a two-decade-old SDK is like! (It's not that bad, actually.)
